"Bertrand Tombal is the Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Full Professor of Urology at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc, Brussels, Belgium. He is the Past President of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), the leading European academic research organization in the field of cancer. He has both a basic science and a clinical interest in urological oncology, particularly in the field of prostate and bladder cancer. Professor Tombal obtained his MD in 1990 and his PhD in 2003, both from the Université catholique de Louvain. During his PhD, he studied the mechanisms involved in apoptosis of prostate cancer cells and the modulation of apoptosis by growth factors. He completed part of his basic sciences training at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA. Professor Tombal’s primary clinical interest is the treatment of advanced stages of prostate cancer, and particularly hormonal treatment and development of new biological agents. He is heading the urooncology division at the Université catholique de Louvain where he is coordinating several trials in this research area. In addition, Professor Tombal has authored more than 300 published papers, books, and book chapters. He has presented at numerous national and international conferences and has been the recipient of various awards for his research in the field of urology, including the European Association of Urology thesis award, which he received in 2003."

Mr Chaplin is a consultant urological surgeon; he has worked at James Cook, Middlesbrough and North Tees, Stockton hospitals since April 2011. He was a consultant from 2006-2011 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals and from 2004 to 2006 at Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Mr Chaplin has a special interest in oncological urology. He is especially interested in bladder, prostate and renal cancer. He regularly performs radical surgery for cancer using open and laparoscopic techniques. He has a specific interest in robotic minimally invasive surgery and has been involved in the implementation of the robot for robotic cystectomy since the first case done at James Cook in February 2015. He regularly performs robotic and open radical cystectomies, robotic prostatectomies, open and laparoscopic nephrectomies and nephroureterectomies. He contributes to national audit and research trials. He has presented posters and research data at national and international conferences. He was appointed in April 2017 as multi-disciplinary team lead for the urology cancer centre at James Cook.

Professor Palmer took his current position of North West Cancer Research Chair in Medical Oncology at the University of Liverpool in 2011. His research interests relate to HPB cancers (liver, pancreas and biliary tract) and incorporate basic laboratory science, translational research and clinical trials. His laboratory research is currently investigating novel therapeutic approaches to the treatment of HPB cancer through stimulation of anti-tumour immune responses and targeting tumour micro-environment including the tumour microbiome, and developing and validating biomarkers for a stratified approach to treatment. He is a member of the UK NCRN Upper GI cancers clinical studies group, and the hepatobiliary and pancreatic sub-groups. He is Director of the Cancer Research UK/NIHR Liverpool Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre and has established a portfolio of early phase clinical trials and translational studies and he is Chief Investigator for the TACE-3 and RaTIO trials investigating immunotherapy combinations for patients with intermediate and advanced HCC respectively.

Before taking this position, he was 2010 appointed as Director of the University Cancer Centre in Hamburg (UCCH) and held positions at the University Departments for Oncology and Haematology in Halle-Wittenberg, Freiburg and Berlin. Between 2015 and 2017, he served as Director of the Instituto CUF de Oncologia in Lisbon, Portugal. His major field of scientific interest are gastrointestinal cancers, and here specifically modern therapeutic approaches in biomarker-driven decision processes, and multimodal treatment strategies, also including other specialities. Here, he has served as chairman of Colorectal Cancer Study Group of the German AIO, a major collaborative group in clinical oncology. Within the AIO framework, he served as founding member of the Central Clinical Trials Office, underlining his expertise also in methodology of clinical research. Furthermore, his interest is the organisation of larger collaborative research structures and of integrated cancer centre networks. Prof. Arnold is also member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Task Force Member of the National Cancer Institute, as well as Board member of the EORTC GI study group."

"Dr Gelareh Zadeh is a Professor at the Department of Surgery University of Toronto. She is a Neurosurgeon-Scientist at Toronto Western Hospital, University Health Network. She was most recently appointed as the Wilkins Family Chair in Brain Tumor Research. Her clinical practice focuses on Skull Base Neuro-oncology, with dedicated general brain tumour clinic and many multidisciplinary clinics that she has established and is actively involved with such as skull base, pituitary, brain metastases, gamma knife and neurofibromatosis clinic. She is actively involved with and is dedicated to the goal of advancing surgical clinical trials. Her research laboratory is focused on studying the molecular mechanisms of glioma angiogenesis and molecular regulators of tumour metabolism. Specifically investigating the role of bone marrow derived cells in supporting tumour vasculature in gliomas and how differentiation into macrophage and microglia population plays a role in escape mechanisms of evading anti-angiogenic therapy. A second focus of the laboratory, on tumour metabolism, explores the interplay between altered metabolism in response to anti-angiogenic therapy. She also has a translational program, dedicated to establishing the genomic landscape of menigniomas and schwannomas. Her laboratory is funded through peer-reviewed grants from a number of agencies such as CIHR, Terry Fox New Investigator grant, CCSRI, CRS, BrainChild and others. She is a scientist at Labatts Brain Tumor Research at Sick Kids Research Institute and Macfeeters-Hamilton Neuro-oncology Centre at Ontario Cancer Institute. She is active in many local, national and international committees in the field of neuro-oncology. She is the director of the UHN brain tumor bank and co-director of the University of Toronto Brain Tumor Bank. Together with Dr Vera Bril she is the co-Director of the UHN Elizabeth Raab Neurofibromatosis Program. She is the Chair of Academic Affairs for Division of Neurosurgery at University of Toronto. She has served as the scientific co-chair of Society of Neuro-oncology for two years (2014 and 2015), she is currently the Secretary/Treasurer of Society of Neuro-oncology (2016 & 17) and Chairof Neuro-oncology Committee at the World Federation of Neurological Surgeons (2013-17). She is the co-chair and founder of the consortium on meningiomas, in collaboration with Society of Neuro-oncology."

Besides that he is the lead of the surgical oncology unit in Tawam Hospital. He is known from the international fast-track bariatric courses in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and is the lead investigator in multiple large randomised controlled trials, leading to over 70 Pubmed registered publications. He has performed a PhD on the multimodal treatment of locally advanced rectal and locally recurrent rectal cancer (ISBN 90-367-1418-4).

Major areas of clinical and research interest include breast cancer and gynecological cancers, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, sarcomas, and other solid tumors. Vansteenkiste is a Professor of Internal Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, and Head of Clinic in the Respiratory Oncology Unit and its Clinical Trial Unit at the Leuven University Hospital, Belgium. Professor Vansteenkiste studied Medicine at the Catholic University of Leuven before becoming a Board Certified Pulmonologist-Oncologist. He had additional training in Respiratory Oncology at the European School of Oncology in Milan, Italy, and in Respiratory Endoscopy at the Laser entre in Marseille, France, before gaining his Ph.D. at the Catholic University of Leuven in 1996. Professor Vansteenkiste is an active member of different national and international societies such as IASLC, ASCO, ESMO, ERS, and others. He is a member of the Board of Directors of IASLC from 2009-to 2013 and a member of the ESMO Lung Educational Group and Guidelines Group. He was Secretary of the Thoracic Oncology Assembly of the ERS and a member of the ERS School Board from 2009-to 2012. He is the principal investigator or co-investigator in several clinical trials in the area of lung cancer. He is an Associate Editor at the Journal of Thoracic Oncology, a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Clinical Oncology and several other journals, and author or co-author of more than 200 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on Respiratory Oncology."

As an associate faculty member at Ariadne Labs, a health systems innovation center at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Dr. Sanders continues to work on system level approaches to improving serious illness communication and care.

During her career, Lina worked as a clinical pharmacist in different institutions. She established the clinical pharmacy services in the paediatric oncology ward at King Hussein cancer centre- Amman/Jordan. She has many publications in addition to different abstracts that had been presented in the UK clinical pharmacy association conference, the American Society of Health System Pharmacists association (ASHP), Emirates Oncology Conference, and in the Journal of Oncology Pharmacy Practice (JOPP). Finally, Lina is the principal pharmacist in a number of Phase III multinational RCTs which are involving investigational chemotherapeutic and targeted agents.

He established the clinical haematology service in Dubai Health Authority which is involved in the management of both benign disorders (anaemias, bleeding disorders, thrombosis/thrombophilia) and malignant disorders (acute and chronic leukaemias, myeloma, myeloproliferative disorders, myelodysplastic syndrome). He runs both an undergraduate and postgraduate training in Haematology. Prof. Marashi did his undergraduate training in Andhra University, India. His haematology training was done in the UL at Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham, (formerly East Birmingham Hospital), The West Midlands Blood Transfusion Service, Edgbaston, Birmingham, The John Radcliffe Hospital and Chuchill Hospital in Oxford, UK. Prof. Marashi has been involved in medical education for over 20 years. He is a Professor of Medicine and Haematology and is the Head of the Academic Department of Medicine, Dubai Medical College / Dubai Health Authority. Currently, he is the study chair of the Alexandra/Impassion030 registration trial. He is particularly interested in drug and biomarker development in breast cancer. His work in the field of blood-based biomarkers is widely recognised at the international level. He has published more than 100 articles in peer reviewed journals including several papers in high impact factor journals such as Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, JAMA Oncology, Journal of National Cancer Institute, Lancet Oncology as well as several book chapters; he is editor of a book on minimal residual disease. He has served as reviewer for several national and international organisations including the French National Cancer Institute (INCA), the Technology Foundation STW in the Netherlands, the Marie-Curie Fellowships, the European Research Council (ERC) and the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI). He has served as Chair or Co-Chair of symposia in high visibility international conferences, organised by ESMO, ECCO and ASCO. He has served as faculty in the prestigious workshop ‘Methods in Clinical Cancer Research’ every year from 2014 until 2019. He has obtained independent research funding over the last 6 years."

"MiKaela M. Olsen, DNP, APRN-CNS, AOCNS®, FAAN, is the Clinical Program Director for Oncology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Johns Hopkins Health System. Dr. Olsen serves as adjunct faculty for the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and has a joint faculty appointment with the Johns Hopkins University. She is also a faculty Associate at the University Of Maryland School Of Nursing. Dr. Olsen received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas in 1989 and a Master of Science degree with special emphasis in Oncology nursing from the University of California at San Francisco in 1996. She graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from University of Maryland in 2019. She is a certified Advanced Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist. Dr. Olsen is co-editor of the ONS Safe Handling of Hazardous Drugs Guidelines (2018). She is currently the lead editor for the 1st edition of the Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Guidelines and Recommendations for Practice (2019). She served on the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and ONS Chemotherapy Safety Standards Workgroup (2016). She is the lead editor of the book “Hematologic Malignancies in Adults”, the first nursing textbook published to guide nurses in the care of hematologic malignancy patients. Dr. Olsen has published and extensively presented on the topic of safe handling of hazardous drugs. Working closely with the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) as an expert advisory panelist, she has written recommendations for safe administration of chemotherapy and adult intravenous push medications. To increase nurses knowledge of the potential serious health risks associated with HD exposure, she assisted in the development of ONS continuing education (CE) courses. As an instructor and consultant, Dr. Olsen has traveled to countries including Singapore, UAE, China, Bulgaria, and Japan to increase awareness of HD exposure risks and safe handling. "

Dr Alzein, completed his training in the United States of America. He is double American board certified in Pediatrics and pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Dr Naser has major interest in Lymphoma and hematological malignancies, as well as benign hematology like hemoglobinopathies He is a 2 times winner of the American Society of Oncology (ASCO) Merit Award; for the best translational medicine research abstract in cancer genetic. In addition, he won the Lymphoma Spore Group Grant Award in 2005 for his work on DNA methylation in B cell Lymphomas. In addition, Dr Alzein won 3 times the Best Teaching Award from the Education Department at SKMC Dr Alzein, has great experience in bone marrow transplant and solid tumors as well. Here, he has set for the first time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, the uniportal video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) program for lung resections, mediastinum, foregut, and pleural diseases, the uniportal VATS lung anatomical segmentectomy program in patients with lung cancer or centrally located lung metastasis to prevent the lobectomy, uniportal VATS decortication program to avoid the thoracotomy in patients with empyema, and the robotic thoracic surgery (RATS) program together with other novel programs such as: VATS cytoreductive surgery plus unidirectional hyperthermic intrathoracic chemotherapy (HITHOC) for patients with malignant pleural diseases (mesothelioma, thymoma, etc.), the introduction of ECMO and CBP for major airway and lung tumor resections, endoscopic closure of bronchopleural fistula, 3D reconstruction for personalized surgical treatment through the planning of lung sparing surgery, minimally invasive esophagectomy and chest wall tumors resection, periareolar biportal sympathetic chain clipping for patients with severe hyperhidrosis, submammary chest wall tumor resection and reconstruction and a VATS training program for fellows and residents.

Dr Paul Kelly is a graduate of University College Cork and completed General Professional Training in medicine at the Mater Hospital, Dublin. Having acquired Membership of the Royal College of Physicians he completed specialist training in Radiation Oncology at St Luke’s Hospital in Dublin. He became a Fellow of the Faculty of Radiology at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2008 and, thereafter, completed a 2-year Clinical Fellowship in Stereotactic Radiosurgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. Based in Cork since 2011 as a Consultant Radiation Oncologist he is active in clinical research and co-chairs the GU disease-specific subgroup (DSSG) of Cancer Trials Ireland. His chief interests include prostate cancer, brain tumours, stereotactic radiotherapy and prostate seed brachytherapy. He took up a position as Medical Director of the new radiation oncology facility at the Bon Secours Radiotherapy Centre joint venture with University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre (UPMC) Hillman Cancer Centre in 2019.

His major research interests include Natural killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIR) genotyping, HLA associations, and cancer profiling. He has 198 publications and serves as Associate and Executive editor on several international journals including GENE and META GENE. He is currently a Tenured Professor and Head of Division of Clinical Pathology in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at AUBMC and the Director of the Histocompatibility and Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, Director of the Residency Training Program, and Chairman of the Biomedical Institutional Review Board. He is a member of several international and professional societies including the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the American Society of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI), and the American Association of Molecular Pathologists (AMP) where he is serving as the Chairman of its International Affairs Committee."

Over the last fifteen years, Dr. Aswad has been providing nationwide Gynecological Oncology Services in Tawam Hospital, UAE. In recognition of his significant contribution to maternal health issues in UAE, Dr. Aswad was awarded distinction Fellowship of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of United Kingdom. Apart from the FFPH, he was awarded the Clinical Service Distinction Award (CMHS, UAEU), Best Department Award in UAE Hospitals (Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Award for Medical Sciences), Outstanding Contribution to Medical Education in the Middle East (Arab Health) and many other UK national awards. Dr. Aswad has more than sixty full papers and abstracts published in National and International Medical Journal and Conference Proceedings, four book chapters and nine educational videos. Dr. Alrawi was the Director of Oncology Services (Surgery and Oncology) at Alzahra Hospital in the heart of Dubai and the hospital’s tertiary referral cancer center for the entire UAE, where he oversaw highly specialized surgical oncology subspecialties such as colorectal, breast, head and neck, urology, gynecological, sarcoma/melanoma, and peritoneal surface mal From October 2013 to September 2015, Dr. Alrawi served as Chief of the Surgical Oncology Division at Tawam Hospital and Interim Chair of the Department of Surgery. John Hopkins Medical System is affiliated with Tawam Hospital. Dr. Alrawi’s primary area of interest is gastrointestinal oncology, which encompasses esophageal, gastric, pancreas, liver, colonic surgery, and endocrine surgery, including thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal surgery. Dr. Alrawi received his surgical oncology training at various academic institutions throughout the country, including Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, the Royal Free Hospital at the University of London, and Ninewells Hospital at the University of Dundee. Dr. Alrawi is an American Board-Certified physician who completed his Head and Neck Surgery and Surgical Oncology Fellowships at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (NCI) in 2006. Dr. Alrawi trained in advanced laparoscopic oncology from 1992 to 1993 with Professor Alfred Cuschieri in Dundee, advanced colorectal oncology from 1993 to 1995 with E Lloyd Davis in Cornwall, England, and advanced surgical oncology from 1995 to 1996 with Professor Marc Winslett in London. He has received numerous academic honors during his training and clinical practice years. He is a frequently invited speaker at public and professional meetings devoted to cancer management education. Throughout his career, Dr. Alrawi has been involved in various research activities to increase our understanding of cancer early detection and multidisciplinary approaches. Dr. Alrawi has published over 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals and over 150 presentations at local, national, and international meetings in clinical and basic sciences throughout his 30-year career in surgical oncology. He has also authored ten book chapters. Dr. Alrawi is committed to community outreach and firmly believes that cancer care and health awareness, combined with excellence in cancer diagnosis and treatment delivered by a multidisciplinary team, can and will save lives.

She established the Translational Research Group within the German Breast Group and has headed numerous research projects. In addition, Prof. Dr. Loibl has been involved in conducting and managing a significant number of national and international, practice-changing clinical trials. Prof. Dr. Loibl is author of more than 400 original and peer-reviewed articles and scientific papers; she has written numerous books and book chapters. She is an active member of many important national and international organizations, such as ASCO, ESMO, DKG and the AGO. She is involved in national and international guidelines for breast cancer, amongst them those for ESMO and ASCO. She was the first Co-Chair of the ESMO Breast Conference in Berlin and is an active faculty member of many international (ASCO, ESMO, SABCS) conferences."

Dr. Suliman Al Ghamdi graduated from King Abdulaziz University, Faculty of Medicine, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 1997, and completed his internship in the same institution in 1998. He completed his Residency Training Program in Radiation Oncology from January 2000 till December 2004 at Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre, University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, followed by fellowship training in Radiation Oncology with sub - specialization in Stereotactic Radiosurgery of Head and Neck, CNS Malignancies and Brachytherapy in 2005. "Professor Hussain graduated from Dow Medical College Karachi in 1994. He completed his general medical professional training in UK. He did his Doctorate in Oncology from University of Birmingham. He then completed his Medical oncology training in Birmingham, United Kingdom and received his certification and specialist registration in Medical oncology. Professor Hussain is Professor and Consultant in Medical Oncology at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. His major areas of interest are management of urological cancers, clinical trials, early drug development and translational medicine. He has set up large number of clinical trials from early phase to late phase studies during his career. His work on organ preservation in bladder cancer moved all the way from an early phase I study (Hussain et al Annals of Oncology 2001) to phase II efficacy study (Hussain et al BJC 2004) that led to a Cancer Research UK funded study BC2001 trial that was reported in New England Journal of Medicine (James, Hussain, Hall et al April 2012). This study has now changed the standard of care for patients with muscle invasive bladder cancer opting for organ preservation treatment. Professor Hussain is principal investigator of number of studies in urological cancers. He is a chief investigator of a national randomised placebo-controlled phase II neo-adjuvant study in muscle invasive bladder cancer. He served as chief investigator of various early phase trials, and translational studies. Professor Hussain has authored over 105 peer-reviewed publications including 4 book chapters in textbooks of oncology. His Google scholar H-index is 37 with over 8300 citations. He has published in high impact journals including New England Journal of medicine, Lancet, Lancet Oncology, JAMA, JAMA Oncology, Journal of Clinical oncology, European Urology, Annals of Oncology, Nature communications, Clinical Cancer Research, British journal of Cancer. He has been an invited speaker to number of national and international meetings. Professor Hussain has secured funding of over 10 million pounds from funding bodies. "
